7 Quick and Easy Quilt Patterns

Sometimes we all just need a quick and easy quilt pattern. A quick win, a fast baby shower gift, an easy pattern to showcase your new favorite fabric line. Amiright?

I’ve compiled a list of all fast and easy, beginner-friendly quilt patterns that you need to check out! I made many of these patterns in multiple sizes because they are just so fast and fun to make.

Easy Half Square Triangle Quilt Patterns

When I first started quilting, the very first quilt block I ever learned to make was the simple Half Square Triangle. They are still some of my favorites to this day because they are easy and yet really pack a punch! They are one of the most versatile blocks out there. Check out a few patterns featuring this simple foundational quilt block: the Half Square Triangle:

A Fast and Fun Solitaire Quilt

The Solitaire Quilt pattern features two different ways to make it: either using the 8-at-a-time Half Square Triangle method, or by using an AccuQuilt GO!™ cutting machine. The pattern is super easy and even pre-cut friendly, as you can use Fat Quarters or even 10″ squares to make it!

Other Quick and Easy Quilt Patterns:

I also compiled a few fun and fast quilt patterns that branch out a little beyond the classic HST. Here are some of my favorites. I hope some of these will inspire you for your next quilt!

Stunning Star Quilt: The Beaming Pattern

One thing tat I love about Beaming is that it actually looks more tricky than it really is! The larger block sizes help it come together really quick and the construction methods keep it fun and interesting. The Beaming pattern is block-based, AccuQuilt-friendly, and includes three different sizes. You can always add more blocks too or change the arrangement to suit your needs in this easy quilt pattern!

Big Block Quilt: Paradigm Quilt Pattern

Paradigm has been one of the most popular patterns in my shop ever since it released, and for good reason! This bold and fun quilt pattern comes together so fast and is a really fun way to try out a couple new skills. Make a mini Paradigm quilt and turn it into a pillow, or scale the block up for the Baby or Throw sizes included in the pattern to make this big single-block quilt!

Sampler Quilt: Connector Quilt Pattern

The Connector Quilt pattern was designed with the confident beginner in mind. The blocks featured in the Connector Quilt are Half Square Triangles (HSTs), Flying Geese, and Stitch & Flip. The pattern is filled with easy to follow diagrams for every step of the pattern, and includes instructions and coloring sheets for a Wall Hanging, Baby, Lap, Throw, and Bed sizes.
