The fabrics in the Keystone Quilt Kit are all Riley Blake Designs. Primarily comprised of Confetti Cotton Solids, with one Dapple Dot and one Bee Cross Stitch thrown in to add a little extra texture.

The fabrics used in this quilt top are entirely Confetti Cottons from Riley Blake Designs, and you can actually get a quilt kit to make your own quilt just like this one!

The backing fabric I used is not included in the kit, but you can get it for yourself here. It is a fantastic Wide Back from Riley Blake Designs.

Traditional building blocks in the Keystone Quilt Pattern

The modern scrappy quilt pattern features a few foundational traditional blocks, which makes it perfect as a skill-builder project:

The quilting on this quilt was completed by Just Sew Jane in a modern geometric edge to edge design. I love how the angles jump out in the background white space of this quilt design!

Helpful Tools for Making this Modern Quilt

If you’re brand new to quilting, you will definitely want to take a look at the essential quilting tools, or even check out all my absolute favorite quilting notions!

I found these quilting tools particularly helpful while making my own Keystone quilt:

AccuQuilt vs. Stripology Ruler

Are you wondering whether AccuQuilt or a Stripology ruler would be more useful on the Keystone Quilt? I actually used both! I love using my AccuQuilt any chance I get, especially if I am cutting shapes that would end up needing to be trimmed such as flying geese or half square triangles.

The AccuQuilt machine comes in incredibly useful for the Flying Geese and Square-in-a-square quilt block units in the Keystone Quilt. For all the other shapes, I personally chose to use my Stripology XL ruler.
